Mobile Phone Recycling

Keep DeKalb Beautiful (KDB) has partnered with DeKalb County Libraries and CollectiveGood Mobile Phone Recycling to ask residents to recycle their cell phones, batteries, chargers, and accessories.

KDB will be collecting used cellular equipment year-round due to their growing threat to the environment. To date, there are more than 750 million mobile phones waiting to be recycled in the U.S. "We want to do our part to make sure these devices stay out of our landfills," says Amber Greer, Director of Keep DeKalb Beautiful. "Recycling cell phones prevents lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic and other toxic substances from leaking into the water supply."

Citizens can drop their used cellular equipment off at four (4) locations:

Decatur Library
215 Sycamore Street
Decatur, GA 30030

Dunwoody Library
5339 Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd
Dunwoody, GA 30338

Wesley Chapel-William C. Brown Library
2861 Wesley Chapel Rd
Decatur, GA 30034

Keep DeKalb Beautiful - DeKalb Sanitation Division
3643 Camp Circle, Bldg A
Decatur, GA 30032
